Verify Before You Buy

The Verify Before You Buy search box lets you see if your favorite Web sites—or a site you’re about to purchase from—is secured with a VeriSign® Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Certificate.

Use this tool to quickly find out if your favorite e-commerce, banking, or other Web sites have been issued VeriSign SSL Certificates. Just enter the Web address and click "verify."

Note: Verify Before You Buy is currently limited to generic top-level domain VeriSign® SSL Certificates. If the URL that you're investigating has a country code top-level domain, such as .co.uk or .de, you should use alternate means of evaluating the security of the Web site. Learn more >>

Our desktop widget works like the search box and lets you see if a Web site has been issued a VeriSign (EV) SSL Certificate, but you can download it right to your desktop for added convenience.

The VeriSign Secured Shopping widget lets you verify that a Web site has been issued a VeriSign (EV) SSL Certificate. The best part: it sits right on your desktop. Please note that it is limited to generic top-level domain VeriSign (EV) SSL Certificates.
